Exhibition Statement
With a month left to go in my senior year of high school, I found myself at a loss for what to do to express the immense gratitude I held for my teachers and all of the support and guidance they had given me over the years. Then, I remembered that the lovely woman who helped me print the stickers I used for my 2023 piece Going Home (Candice of SortaCuteCreations on Etsy) mentioned that I was welcome to reach out again should I ever require her services in the future. So, borrowing the little characters I made in my Vector Cartoon (Happy Valentine's Day, Love Goose), I created unique scenes inspired by each teacher's personality and humor—each one topped off with an inside joke or 'catch phrase' (of sorts)—and turned them into vinyl stickers!

Although I know that no gift I could give would ever be enough to repay them for their endless patience and passionate dedication to their work—for helping me become the person I am today—my goal with these personalized stickers was to give them a way to carry a tangible representation of my gratitude with them wherever they go; whether they choose to put it on their water bottle, laptop, or otherwise, I always want them to know how appreciated they are and how big their impact has been.
