Linocut print on paper
33.5 x 36 cm

Exhibition Statement

I have struggled with my relationship with my body in the past, so my hope for this piece was that it would help me in making peace with my body and understanding that it will always deserve my love and respect. The medium also reinforces this idea that our bodies deserve care despite any perceived imperfections, just as a linocut is beautiful despite a crooked print or smudged ink.
This piece is an appreciation and an apology; in turning my body into art, I hope I can begin to make amends.
