Exhibition Statement

Back in May of 2022, I was just four months into recovery and hadn't yet spoken about it with anyone outside of my family. However, I decided to push myself and, in so doing, I created these pieces—my first foray into telling my story through art. The project is composed of three triptych sets, each focused on a different aspect of the human subject: The hands, face, and figure. For this exhibition, I have chosen to just display the first two as I believe they stand well on their own. (1/2 - Continued with Portrait In A Series: Faces)
