Exhibition Statement

Sometimes the simple act of getting out of bed or taking the next, small step forward is a cause for celebration. Some of us spend so long entangled in destructive habits that rediscovering ourselves can be terrifying. Suffering can offer us an identity and give us comfort in routine, thus it is often difficult to see ourselves apart from it. However, once we break free—fly away from the comfortable and towards the unknown—we remember how it feels not only to survive but to live.
